I fed her
pomegranate kisses
and she cried
at every frozen sunrise
for 180 days.
With cracks in my heart
and souls
caught in my hair
I counted 180 more.

Day Twenty ThreeI.Day Twenty Three by ~xthe-eleanorx
When we were young enough to
Google things like
“how to get a boy
to like you”
we would get responses
telling us to just show him
our boobs.
A girl is her breasts and
boy likes breasts so
boy likes girl.
II.
When they say that they
want a “fit” girl
I do not know what that means.
I cannot fit into her dresses,
I never fit in at school,
I will not fit into her shoes,
maybe I am not a good fit for you.
III.
All friends in middle school
has eating disorders
when they told me that I looked pretty,
I wouldn’t believe them
because how could they find me beautiful
when I was everything they swore
not to be. Fiv

Day Twenty TwoWhen he told me thatDay Twenty Two by ~xthe-eleanorx
he was getting
lightheaded
since he hadn’t talked
this much in a long time,
I suppressed a giggle
because it’s been even
longer since I’ve made
someone
lose their breath.
Spring Alliance Contest!Spring Alliance Contest! by =LadyofGaerdonGreetings, luminous Allies! It is my pleasure to announce the Spring Alliance Contest!
:iconlit-visual-alliance:
What is the Alliance, you ask?
The Alliance is a project group intended to encourage visual and literary artists to work together. I've felt for some time that the dA Literature Community can at times be somewhat insular - to its detriment. We in the Lit Community are also sometimes prone to griping about the lack of exposure our work receives when compared to that of visual artists. So in the spirit of ^thorns brilliant Complaint Challenge I thought I would try to do something about that. And so the Alliance was born!
Because I, your founder, have a deep and abiding love for the seasons, this group now hosts seasonal contests, and as the Winter Contest is now over, it is time for Spring.I
NaPoWriMo, Features, and MusingsSo originally this was going to be a nice little feature of some of my favourite NaPoWriMo creations accompanied by small comments. Then the week happened so it turned into a feature of things that I like from whenever. And now I've been sick puking and loafing around crying so the comments aren't happening. Everyone make your sounds of elation now.NaPoWriMo, Features, and Musings by ~smilewithlove

The American Obesity ProblemThe American Obesity Problem by ~LightningRodOfHate
I have no face. There was a time when I may have owned one, but this is a fuzzy half-memory. In fact, it may be entirely an invention of fantasy. These days, regardless of my history, I know for a fact that I have no face. However, I have been granted a name: The American Obesity Problem. And I am growing in the United States. You may have seen me on television. You may have been witness to my disconcerting back cleavage and mystified by the seamless transition my legs make from my calves into my ankles. You probably saw my unsettlingly large, shelf-like behind as it strained against my tight Capri pants that I swore I would fi
